HandyMike Limited Warranty
1. Workmanship Warranty – New Installations (One Year)
HandyMike warrants that all new installations are performed in a workmanlike manner. This warranty is valid for one (1) year from the date the work is completed.
A “new installation” means any work in which HandyMike installs a new product, component, or assembly on a suitable and stable substrate, whether the materials are supplied by HandyMike or the client.
Coverage is strictly limited to workmanship. All materials, products, components, and manufactured items are covered solely by their respective manufacturer warranties.
2. Workmanship Warranty – Repairs and Maintenance (Ninety Days)
HandyMike warrants its workmanship on repairs, adjustments, and maintenance services for ninety (90) days from the date the work is completed.
This warranty applies when HandyMike works on existing structures, surfaces, components, or assemblies, regardless of age, visible wear, or underlying condition.
If the client elects repair instead of a recommended replacement, the warranty covers only the specific workmanship performed and does not extend to the existing item, material, or assembly.
3. Warranty Exclusions
This limited warranty does not apply to any of the following:
• Failures caused by pre-existing, concealed, or underlying conditions
• Items repaired at the client’s direction instead of replaced
• Damage resulting from moisture, water intrusion, leaks, settlement, structural movement, or environmental conditions
• Normal wear and tear
• Misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, or alterations by others
• Work performed on or around materials supplied by the client
• Manufacturer defects (covered exclusively by the manufacturer)
• Damage caused by weather events, accidents, or other forces outside HandyMike’s control
4. Client Responsibilities
The client must provide written notice of any claimed workmanship issue within the applicable warranty period. HandyMike must be provided reasonable access and opportunity to inspect and correct the issue. Failure to provide timely notice or access voids the warranty for that item.
5. Sole Remedy
HandyMike’s sole obligation under this limited warranty is the re-performance of the specific workmanship found to be defective. No refunds, replacements, incidental damages, or consequential damages are offered, promised, or implied.
6. Disclaimer of Other Warranties
Except for the limited warranties expressly provided above, HandyMike disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
